Abstract We present a case of an 11-year-old patient from the city of La Paz-Bolivia who consults for the emergency service of the Hospital del Niño "Dr. Ovidio Aliaga Uría " due to a clinical picture of 1 year of evolution characterized by intermittent oppressive pain in the anterior thorax that alleviates the change of position, with dyspnea of medium to great eíforts that relieves rest and makes it impossible to walk. Added to the current clinical picture is sign-symptomatology of pericardial eífusion, pulmonary edema, and cardiac failure. Dextrocardia with situs inversus totalis was diagnosed by clinical examination, a diagnosis that was corroborated by electrocardiogram and imaging studies.
