Contemporary clinical medical education includes the use of bioinformatics and Internet as a new resource for teaching and learning. This research evaluates the situation of knowledge, attitudes and use of Web tools in Clinical cycle medical students. It was studied a random sample of 221 students to the clinical area, through the application of a questionnaire conducted on the basis of a literature review concerning the use of Web tools in education, we calculated the frequency and significant differences of the variables studied per course gender and knowledge of Web resources. The distribution corresponded to 36%, 43% and 21% for third, fourth and fifth year courses respectively, 46.2% male and 52.9% female, 81% was between 20-25 years. 19% said they used virtual platforms, paradoxically not mentioned virtual learning platform. Regarding the level of knowledge of chat-forum-blog, Web material storage, multimedia and on-line questionnaires, 45% with user level. In the use of Web resources for teachers 36% never performed and 54% recommend access to educational Web pages. 86% referred to the need for virtual education and 64% referred to the increase in plagiarized work. The level of knowledge and use of Web resources by students of the cycle goes from médium to low. Similarly, the frequency of use of Web resources for teachers is very limited in terms of access to educational Web pages, e-mail use, storage of electronic material and developing their own teaching material. The positive attitude toward the web tools in education, so that their implementation is a necessity, it is recommended to implement training workshops for both teachers and students.
