One of the problems that archeology of the late periods (Late Intermediate, Inka and Colonial) goes through is that it takes for granted many of its conclusions based on historiographic works or those from the Cusco region, as is the Inka case. One of the attractive themes upon the arrival of the Spaniards were the temples, the ushnus, the wak'as, and everything that made reference to the Inka elite, generating the idea that all this was destroyed and that a church or church was built on top of it. edification that refers to the new dominant way of thinking. In this paper we intend to address a different alternative to that assumption, and we intend to give a new vision of the relationship that may have existed between the churches and the wak'as in the La Paz valley. Protected by novel spatial analysis techniques, we try to show that there is a background to the world of perceptions that made possible the location and conditioning of the main churches in the city.
