Abstract

The congenital syphilis (SC) it belongs one of the most important of all the transmitted infections from the mother to the product, he/she is defined like a systemic, transferable infection, caused by the Treponema pallidum, their clinical manifestations are variable and the judicious employment of the tests serological largely cooperates to establish its diagnosis. Clinical Case. Smaller Lactante that presented lesions ampollares mainly in regal perineal and inferior members and superiors in palms and plants with spontaneous exit of yellowish whitish liquid, the tests non treponémicas and treponémicas (VDRL) they were positive as much in the product as in the mother. The presumptive diagnosis of congenital syphilis was established and crystalline sodium penicillin was administered by space of 10 days. Egress under good conditions. The congenital syphilis is a complex illness because the neonates infected y/o smaller lactantes doesn't usually develop clinical manifestations when being born, of being presented sintomatología he/she usually with other illnesses of vertical transmission, the tests non treponémicas (VDRL, RPR) they are useful for the initial scrutiny of the syphilis diagnosis, the tests treponémicas (FTA-ABS) they are used as confirmatory of the non treponémicas. The penicillin continues being the election treatment.
