The Multiactive Cooperative of Industrial Production and Services "COMPROSIN" Ltd., will construct a hydrometalurgical plant for the treatment of silver minerals, with a capacity of 10 TPD, which includes processes of roasting, leaching an electrolysis. The metallurgical residues (tailings) produced in the plant should be deposited in a storage dam. The tailings storage dam will be constructed with borrowed material, itwill be located at 1 kmfromthe plant, itsform will be rectangular, and it will has a useful life of 10 years. The present value of total costs of the project during its useful life of 10 years is $us 800,059.32, which includes the construction, operation and closure costs. Finally, it has been assesed the environmental positive and negative impacts and it was found that the project corresponds to category II "it requires the specific environmental impact assesment".
