    Abstract

    In this paper we show the design of pulp lifters using the technique of dynamic computational fluid (CFD) using the simulation package ANSYS Fluent. For this study, two models are characterized, with difference in the distribution and quantity of the slots, which means, the connecting line between the grinding chamber and pulp lifters. Backflow in pulp evacuators and the definition of the location of the slots are evaluated, which seeks to reduce the pool effect in the pulp and the backflow
