    Abstract

VELASCO HURTADO, Carlos  and  CRUZ PRIETO, José. Removal of Sn and Sb from a concentrated sulfur complex Ag-Pb-Zn. Rev. Met. UTO [online]. 2016, n.39, pp. 19-25. ISSN 2078-5593.

Abstract The paper shows the results of digestion of a concentrated complex of Ag-Pb-Zn with mixtures of Na2S and NaOH having in its mineralogy as main minerals: cylindrite and "frankeita", in order to solubilize the Sn and Sb to recover these metals of the solution. It has been studied the effect of the temperature, molar rate between , sodium sulfide concentration and digestion time on the degree of extraction of these metals. Recoveries of 95% of antimony and 80% of tin were obtained with digestion times of 20 minutes, at a process temperature of 80 X process and within a molar rate Na2S/Na2Sstoichiometric of 2.

Keywords : Alkaline digestion; franckeita; cylindrite; antimony removal; tin removal.
