Abstract
PARRADO DELGADILLO, Carlos Fernando and VENEGAS LEDO, Edgar. Removing defects in bronze parts by centrifugal casting. Rev. Met. UTO [online]. 2016, n.39, pp. 35-40. ISSN 2078-5593.
Abstracts In pieces with are constructed with bronze alloys there are very pronounced effects such as shrinkage cavities and porosities, defects, which can be eliminated by the centrifugal casting technique. It is presented the study of variables in a bronze casting process using this technique, with a two levels factorial design with variables such as: casting temperature, alloy composition and rotation speed. The best results have been presented to a casting temperature of 1100 X for compositions of80% copper, 20% tin and 90% copper, 10% tin and with a speed of 1600 rpm in both cases.
Keywords : Casting defects; alloys; bronzes; factorial design.
