    The present study was carried out during the summer agricultural campaign 2015/16 in the department of Santa Cruz, municipality of Yapacani, Nuevo Horizonte community, in order to determine the optimal dose of nitrogen for higher productivity of rice cultivation for the Nuevo Horizonte community in the municipality of Yapacani. Different doses of nitrogen fertilization were evaluated 0N; 50N; 100N; 150N; 200N; 250N and 300N (kg / ha), with variety of Mac 18. The experimental design was randomized block design containing 3 repetitions. Fertilization of different doses of nitrogen was performed at 36 days after sowing. The performance of the Mac 18 variety under different doses of nitrogen has a quadratic trend reaching a maximum yield of 4246 kg / ha with an optimal dose of 225 kg N / ha where the conditions of rainfall were not favorable for normal development of the crop. Doses above this reduce yields fewer promoting productive tillers.
